2025 season goal: I’m looking to top my age group in all my races and cement myself as one of the top athletes in my category.
Inspired by a mentor who was an Ironman, Addy Epp set his sights on triathlon after graduating high school and stepping away from competitive swimming. Now, he’s determined to dominate his age group and establish himself among the top athletes in his category.
His key lesson? “Don’t neglect the swim!” With a strong season ahead, he’s focused on IM 70.3 Oceanside, Calgary, and Washington Tri Cities, using the Vancouver Olympic Triathlon as a training race. Outside of triathlon, Addy enjoys hiking, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family. With his drive and dedication, he’s proving that he’s a competitor to watch in the 70.3 distance.
Top placements
2021 Victoria Ironman 70.3: 3rd place age group, 17th men’s overall, 19th overall

Advice for beginner triathletes:
“Don’t neglect the swim! People often do and it can be your downfall. Its not many people’s favourite, but it is crucial!”
